This is by far the best work-site radio/boombox I have ever had. I've had a DeWalt, and more recently I still have the 18v Milwaukee.

First off the Bocsh has way better FM reception than the either the Dewalt or Milwaukee. I can pick up stations clearly that the other two just can't.

Second, my son tripped over the cord and pulled the PB360D off of a work table and it bounced like a rubber ball. When I picked it up there wasn't even a scratch on the roll cage.

Third, the sound is great. The sub-woofer carried the rest of the sound really well. You can hear this box over saws and diesels. We don't ever need to turn it up over half and it fills a big area so everyone can hear it.

I haven't used it for tailgating yet but it should be better than the previous alternatives because it has a sub-woofer and four directional speakers.

If you're into a specific type of music or satellite program I'd recommend the Sirius satellite hook up. I got one, installed it in about 3 minutes and was listening to my favorite XM station. (Commercial free makes me very happy!) And we have tried out my iPod and my brother's Blackberry as an MP3 player and they worked great. I personally have the Status 6 model and it was virtually plug and play (after activation)It's great to have options.

The only draw back is the size and weight, but as long as you have the space to carry it around it is no big deal. You just wouldn't want to put this box into a little fishing boat or a canoe. I broke down and bought a dedicated 16GB SD card for the radio (only $20) instead of using the flash drive. The SD card functions perfectly awesome and has much faster syncing then the USB connection, so less time waiting for it to load the song.

Now I did notice one thing about the random/shuffle feature that I had never noticed when using my USB flash drive (probably because I already have the music arranged a specific way). The random feature seems to only play random songs within a 250 song block. So in other words if you press the random button while on song 128, it will randomly play songs 1-250. I've played and tested this theory many times and that seems to be how it works.

So if I'm on song 326 and press random, it'll play song 251-500 randomly. If I'm on song 712 and press random, it'll play 501-750.

I will continue to test this theory and contact Bosch to find out what exactly the deal is because if I start with the first song and press random it has never played a track above 250.

If this is true, combined with its support of only 999 songs I might have to give it only 4 stars because of these limitations.

I've been using this radio for a good two weeks and am still amazed by the quality and build of it. I've knocked it around, dropped it (by accident), and it just takes it.

Everything is still working fine. I'm getting a good 6-7 hours worth of music per charge of the 18V Li-ion battery.
