After laying down a layer of melted wax, it must be fused with heat from a heated tool, a heat gun or a torch. This Benzomatic self-lighting torch with hose is a wonderful tool to use for fusing. Rather than wearing the heavy-duty cloth holster, I nailed it to the side of my painting table and put the Fat Boy canister into it. I then had the use of the Benzomatic torch and hose without having to bear the weight of the canister, and because the canister was snugly in the holster, there was no danger of tipping it over.
